Thank you for completing the HOW
Retreat Entrance Questionnaire. The weekend's work has already begun.
What makes us want to do what we want to
do?
Madzimoyo,
AYA Co-Dir.
This is the question that our
departed brother Amos Wilson asks.
It's key to understanding manipulation in his "Force-to-Manipulation" paradigm.

Please give us your feedback in the form below.

Amos: What makes us want to do what we want to do?
H.O.W. attendees:
Since you are enrolling in the Healing
Oppressions Wounds Retreat, please feel free to give your general
response AND answer the
following questions after listening to the 15-minute clip. This is not a test.
Let your thoughts and feelings flow. Our intention is only to prime the pump.
When you
click on the submit button, your response comes directly to AYA Educational
Institute and will only be used as part of the training. Tired or writing
responses. Ok, then just listen for now. Bookmark the page; take a break to let
your thoughts and feelings simmer, and come back to it later.
Foo nda goy (thank you)
Questions and feedback form
below.
1. Amos speaks of "inducement." How does the inducement to believe
ourselves inferior relate to you (economically, socially, etc)?
2. Amos speaks of "alienation." In what key ways have you become
alienated from your African-ness or our people? How has that contributed to or
impeded your progress as a warrior - healer - builder in our community? What's
your remedy for the alienation?
3. Amos speaks of "this system letting us out..." Given that "this
system" doesn't intend to teach us or "allow us" out of this belief
of white
supremacy and African inferiority, what are our options generally, and what are
your options, given the Africans you are working --or wanting to work-- with?
4. Other general thoughts and/or feeling reactions.
