We are inspired by the Total Solar Eclipse:Astronomy & Culture Conference , Cape Coast, Ghana, Africa that takes place March 27 – 31, 2006. The conference is organized by Sister Jarita Holbrook and other Black Astronomers, Physicists and Educators.
Since many of us can’t go to Ghana, we’re bringing some of the conference presenters to you via The Path of Totality Online Conference
At our April 19th session, Arletha Livingston, a presenter at the Ghanaian conference, will share conference conclusions and her work on: Pedagogical Issues in Africana Education: The Integration of Dogon Astronomy and Culture in K – 12 Classrooms.
