NGOLO means energy, force, power.

Mama Afiya will teach the NGOLO Morning Saturday School for elementary students. In this second semester (2-month segments), grades K-5 will continue learning the building blocks of Geometry; explore equivalent fractions utilizing triangles geometrically; creating, developing and decorating paper pyramids.

NGOLO students will enhance their reading speeds and increase reading comprehension. They will also write poems and short stories as they sharpen their creativity and find their “speaking out” voices.

Singing, Drumming and African Dance will augment our continuing to "embrace our African-ness and educational excellence"

Moyo means life/spirit in the Kikongo language.

As students enter adolescence, they are trying to figure out "where their own thoughts begin and their parents' (and other adults') thoughts end. We're sensitive to the developmental needs of this group. We're also sensitive to the need for them to begin to prepare for life in earnest.

MOYO offers academic Enrichment via interdisciplinary, cross curriculum projects designed to teach and to motivate students to achieve academically and assume social responsibility for themselves, their families, our people and all people (in that order).
