Crack the Code to become more emotionally literate and authentic. Circle the Line -  to turn the superior/inferior line that divides us into a circle of trust. Solved the Riddle - “Babies cry for it; grown men and women die for it! Once solved, then how do we manage this power. Sprints are quick starts and quick finishes. Unfortunately, most real relationships (intimate, family, business, community) aren’t sprints. Cookie-cutter models don’t work, especially because we’re navigating wounds born of oppression - past and present. The wounds of oppression have continued down our family lines. They were adaptations for survival. Today they show up as family issues, old hurts, present fears, apathy and other adaptations. The pathological symptoms of oppression are stimulated by the resurgence of overt racism and police brutality. How does yours show up? How does it influence your communication? What happens when these symptoms of oppression and other “hurt” show up in community, organizational, or personal deliberations? Cliches like “Some will, some won’t, so what?” Like: “Don’t take it personally, or Don’t be a victim” don’t work. In fact they only serve to as a substitution of power and confidence that hide the real and legitimate fears underneath. “Why are you surprised” is another response to hurt.  Such a question doesn’t mitigate the damage. Similarly, merely assigning a name to the problem, pattern or causes only gives psuedo- relief. Naming it is not the same as navigating it, and surely doesn’t equate to healing it or protecting yourself from the hurts. Cancer provides an example. The many names for the different kinds of cancer still haven’t produced a cure for it. Successful healing and building in the toxic environment of oppression, and fighting against oppression requires new orientations and behaviors. It takes an alignment of our thinking, feeling, and action. It takes practice and support to interrupt old patterns and to create new ones. Be it intimate, family, organization or business, relationships are long distance runs. Family is a long distance run. Marriage is a long distance run. Organization and business building is a long distance run. Check our schedule to see when we’ll begin another Warrior Healer, Builder weekend retreat to build our capacity and skill to succeed at these long distance runs.Space is limited and these discounted tuition rates are unheard of. They won’t last long!
